Title: A Dream Journal Part: The Red Thread of Fate ChNum: 5 Summary: Hendrik started his normal day and jot down his dream for an inspiration of the story he authored. However, his correspondence regarding of the dream with Dominic Muerte resulted in Dominic's past life's memories resurfacing.

Hendrik jerked hard in his sleep, that he was wide awake a moment later. He was confused at first, but he remembered to peer back into the sensations of his dreams. He must remember the dreams first before he could write it down in his dream journal.

Balancing in the border of the land of the dreams while maintaining his awareness, he reconstructed his dreams again. Scenes flashes by: a chase, military outfit and equipment, a death of a colleague in front of the team leader, and a weird paranormal phenomenon. He reached for his phone and opened a note. He started to type.

"There was this guy named Michael, and he was one of the Apex souls."

He paused again, and attempted to get a clearer picture.

"He was chasing two Apex souls, and was chased by two other Apex souls, and he was an Apex soul himself."

An hour passed when the note was done. He sat on his bed and contemplated his dreams through his notes again. It was very vivid, very clear as a daytime observation.

"That is it, that is the missing piece. This is what happens in Paramundus Integra!"

Hendrik jumped off his bed and fired up his laptop, and he started to type.

There are nine Apex souls in Integra, and through many cycles of reincarnation, they gained powers. One group wanted to help the Apex souls, while the others were trying to fight it back, to preserve normalcy. Michael, was a part of the latter.

He took another moment, and contemplated again.

Here's the basic summary: Two cursed souls entangled over each other in the reincarnation cycles. For every death, they're reborn and fated to meet each other. Once they meet each other, the organization captures them for their own use. Eventually they'd run away together, made a vow, and performed suicide again. And the cycle repeats.

Dominic Muerte woke up very late that day, in Bogota, Colombia. He had been sleeping late that night, and was having a bad case of headache. He checked his phone and there was a message from Hendrik.

He read the message about Hendrik's idea of two cursed souls, and how they're chased by two groups of people. What surprised Dominic the most was that Hendrik mentioned his grandpa's full name. The second most surprising thing he realized was, Dominic never gave Hendrik his surname.

His headache intensified, and now he saw the scenes he read in Hendrik's message. He saw how it is important for the Butterfly Initiative to capture or to kill other Apex souls not aligned to the initiative, so that they have a chance to capture them in the next cycle, and bring them to align with the Butterfly Initiative. He saw that the Butterfly Initiative was there to achieve ascension. He knew, just at that time, that to achieve it, all nine souls must gather in a place.

Finally, he saw that he was Juan Muerte, his grandfather. He went down, and asked his father, how grandpa died. Father explained that he didn't know how grandpa died, grandpa was just missing.

There was silence, and Dominic said that, "Padre soy tu padre," he was his father's father. Father asked what he meant. Dominic touched the couch, and it was sucked out of existence.

Dominic knew what he must do. That he must find the incarnation of Michael, Chen Yun Fei, and Lee Ah Ping. Then they must gather the rest of the Apex souls.

But first, he must replace the couch he just annihilated.
